Puffin On My Side - Love Conquers All
Puffin On My Side is the solo project of musician Alessio Mecozzi. Alessio is also the guitarist and founding member of the instrumental post-rock band Mokadelic. In 2007 Puffin on my side began working on several songs mixing electronic elements with acoustic instruments. Puffin composes guitar-based soundscapes and experimental music with extraordinary emotional impact. His sound is a kind of ambiental post-rock , the reverberant guitar-tone recalls cinematic landscapes and dreamy atmospheres. His main influences range from instrumental post-rock (Godspeed! You Black Emperor, Explosions in the Sky, Mogwai) to shoegaze music (Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Ride, July Skies). Puffin on my side has released Insider in October 2008 (D.N.A.) and Early morning in November 2009 (Inglorious Ocean). In January 2010 he composed the soundtrack for the short film La sabbia negli occhi directed by Ram Pace. In 2011 is out Lech-Lecha, a new EP.
